Giving Thanks

Luke and Libby's First Thanksgiving was so wonderful!  We were in Katy with family and my dad's parents, my Gram and Gramps, came to visit from Arizona.  My Gram had my dad and his twin brother, Uncle Jeff,  so she knows all about the twin thing.  My Gram's daughter, my aunt Julie, also had twins. Twin girls, Courtney and Alexa, so they all have experience!!

It was a very special feeling to hold these kiddos on thanksgiving- a flood of appreciation of what they mean to me and how lucky I am to be a mom.  A simple word.  But becoming "mom" is an answer to many prayers.  "Thank you Lord for these children, they are a daily reminder of your goodness and perfect plans. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

Twinville

Our house is officially now referred to as "Twinville."  My mom, Mimi, came up with that when she was staying with us one time when they were newborns.  Its a great name to capture all things twin- 2 of most things, a little crazy at times, never a dull moment, and comical for sure!
Heres a few pics showing random things that you kids have been up to!

Enjoying the fall weather and changing leaves :)

These finally fit!  I got them when we announced the gender with our family! They were attached to the bottom of the balloons and the balloons were in big boxes that they had to open- such fun!

Morning Libby Girl- stretch!

Hi Luke!

Happy Happy

I have turned our bassinet that was used for sleeping, into a play place!

Creative with the tummy time- Libby you hate it. But we have to do it kiddo!

Not quite ready for Bumbo seats but mom is attemping to show you what it feels like to sit up!
Double Twin Bobby underneath and 2 regular boppys on top- so much stuff in this house!!

AWW!  Little Man! Its Little Pete- or as we say Pete and RE-Pete :) Ha Ha

Sound machines- traveling sound machines= survival and necessary for these twins! They love the ocean sound and it is very helpful for them in the car or out and about when they are tired or want to take a snooze.  They go out like a light!  Thank you Buy Buy Baby!!

There's No Place Like Home

I forgot to write about our frist trip home! They say there's no place like home, and that is so true for Pete and I.  Both of our families live within 20 minutes of one another which makes visiting really easy and really fun! You kiddos did great on the car ride, 5 hours there with stops to feed but otherwise happy campers :)

Aunt Angelina played with you non stop and helped A TON! She gave you a bath and would pick out your outfits etc....

The Hammond girls came over to cuddle and play!

Ms Becky came and helped feed you guys one day and we got to hear about Jennifer's wedding!

You and your brother love the mobile that Angelina is showing you! We call it "firefly guy!" We need a whole other post on the wonderful investment of firefly!

It was so great to be home and visit our house with these kiddos! Thank you mom and dad for helping with the babies all week and even watching them all night while I slept like 10 hours straight! Thank you for having cribs set up and the house in full twin mode- we kind of take over but its so fun!

Sic Em' Bears

You babies are green and gold proud for sure!  We took the babes to Baylor Homecoming to visit with friends and old roommates and participate in the Baylor traditions of the homecoming parade etc.. We got to eat with what we call our Supper Club friends and get all our kiddos together at once- only Brian and Mary Lou were not there this year, but we got to see them in the summer time which was wonderful to have is all in one spot.  Dear friends for life for sure.  Luke and Libby didnt seem to be too impressed by the homecoming floats in the parade or the marching band etc.. but being held and cuddled by friends was right up their alley.  We took some time to sit on the swing where Pete proposed to me :) Our very favorite green and gold swing on campus by the education building under the big trees. It was a sweet moment to hold our blessings and reflect on how God always has our future and His best plans already set for us.  All we have to do is listen and follow.  Very thankful for the memory of bringing these kiddos to what might be their college of choice one day? Let the brainwashing begin!!
